Interactive marketing has evolved over the past couple of years and has grown with internet. With more and more potential customers on the internet companies have the opportunity to connect with these people and develop and cultivate relationships with them. With more customer feedback and communication between the consumer and the company messages and marketing schemes can be personalized to a specific group.

Online advertising is tailored to specific group of specified customers to create a entertaining experience in hopes to create a relationship that ultimately ends in the support of their product. Viral Marketing is one type of internet marketing that has been successful recently. It allows users to have an experience online then share it with a friend thus creating a community. It is essentially word of mouth but ten times more powerful since it seems like everyone has internet access these days be it at home or at the library or a internet cafe.

To create internet experiences these companies play off of your real life experiences and distort reality a little bit to make the experience something that you have never seen before. They entertain you with a story or with some crazy video or something that will catch your attention and make you want to share it with multiple people. This style of advertising is effective because it is rather inexpensive and it reaches a good number of people in a short period of time especially if it is entertaining. One problem that i see is that people may not know what the purpose of the site is or they may miss the message or they may be confused by the interface . with environment sites sometimes it is hard to figure out how to navigate through it.

This summer was a big one for summer blockbusters. Each week it seemed like there was another movie coming out that I could not afford to miss. I have been in numerous heated debates about which summer blockbuster was the best. For project one i would like to create a poll where users will be able to determine the best movie of the summer. Users will also be able to leave comments about what made their selection the best. And in the end, one summer movie will arise victorious.
